First birthday cards should be special…and cute! Today’s card is just that (in my opinion, anyway!).
The first step was to cut a number 1 from some pink polka dot Bazzill cardstock and then a slightly larger layer from fuchsia cardstock for the second layer. The layers were also repeated for the main body of the card, rounding the corners off before I popped them all together.
I used Ellie from TiddlyInks, printing her (and the little girl’s name) directly to my top layer and coloured her using Cool Grey 1 – 5 Pro-Markers and then attached the big, pink number one, placing it slightly in front of Ellie’s leg so that she appeared to peek out from behind. A second set of balloons were cut and coloured, then doused in Glossy Accents before being popped up on 3D pads and placed slightly overlapping the number 1. Finally the edge of the white cardstock layer was edged with a little Spun Sugar Distress Ink to soften it up a little more.
