Paper Flowers!

I recently made card for my mother-in-law, to celebrate her birthday.

These little flowers are so versatile and they’re so easy to make too.  I simply punch two flowers using the Petal Pairs punch by Tonic – I have several but this is definitely my favourite petal shape.  After lightly scoring a line down the centre of each petal, I fold the petal in half, using my nail to fold around.  Once both layers have folded petals, I glue them together, pushing the petals in towards the centre and add little pearls or gems to the centre to finish off.

The branches were cut using a file from the Silhouette Store, one set of dark sage green and another set in a lighter metallic leaf green.  The sentiment was printed directly to the shaped label, and popped on top of a slightly larger layer, which had a light layer of Scattered Straw Distress Ink applied to it.  Finally, I popped it all together on a layer of sage green cardstock and adhered it to the front of the card!

I’d like to enter this card into the following challenges:
