Happy Feet!

It’s been such a pleasure to start to get back to a routine this week – I’ve made time to just have a bit of crafting fun, and it makes a nice change from my DT commitments!  I’ve always enjoyed playing along with sketch challenges, and today was no exception!

Today’s card is based around the current sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.

FMS Final 152-001

This happy little chappy is by 2CuteInk. Such a little cutie!!  I know it may be a little unusual to colour a penguin in shades of blue, but the card is for my son’s friend and he was adamant that the penguin should be blue, as it is the birthday girl’s favourite colour!!  I used ProMarkers as usual, using a little Cool Grey 4 at the edge of the bright colours on the hat and bunting to give it some depth.

The mat is simply two strips of washi tape, overlapped to join the pattern, on top of an offcut of blue card.

  1. This is just darling! I love him in blues! Great thinking. He is so much “softer” looking in the blues! Thanks for submitting him into the 2 Cute Ink “anything goes” challenge. Good luck and I hope you will come back and inspire me again! =)
    Hugs, Sarah T
