Final GDT Post at C…Is For Challenge

Today I’m sharing the card I made for my final challenge as GDT for Anna at C…Is For Challenge.  The theme for this challenge is Ornaments – my thoughts are turning to decorating the Christmas tree already!

C is for hallenge GDT Stitchy Bear

I’ve loosely borrowed From The Heart Sketch’s Sketch 42, as the layout reminded me of three baubles (or ornaments…see where I’m going with this??!!).  The image is from the Stitchy Bear Stamp Outlet; I coloured it with Promarkers and added some red glitter for the baubles on the tree and a little Stickles to the ribbon on the box.  The stripy paper is from a much depleted Trimcraft Christmas set – it was my last sheet of the stripes, I’ve been hiding it in my stash for far too long!  I cut the glittercard frames using the Silhouette, and embossed some white cardstock with the Darice Snowflakes folder, using the Cuttlebug.

Winter Is Coming…

Today is the beginning of a new challenge over at C Is For…Challenge.  The theme for this challenge is “Winter Is Coming” and it’s sponsored by Scribbles Design.

Here is the card I made for the second challenge of my GDT:2013-10-19 17.02.48

For a change, I made a “DL” size card with this image, choosing to mount it very simply on a red glitter tag, cut on the Silhouette.  The image was coloured using Pro-Markers, and a red ribbon bow popped at the top of the tag to hold it together.  Lastly, I kept the sentiment simple too, and cut the words from red glittercard, once again using the Silhouette (I don’t know how I ever survived without it now!).

Head over to Anna’s blog challenge now to add your cards to the challenge!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Cards for Men – Merry Christmas

Craft-Dee Bowz – Anything Goes (with a handmade bow)

Trimmies Craft Challenge – Christmas

A Christmas Surprise!

Today I’d like to share the first of three cards that I’ve made for the C…Is for Challenge GDT.  Today’s challenge theme is “Use a Button” and is sponsored by StampArt Design by Kathryne.2013-10-12 09.29.15

I’ve used the Christmas Surprise stamp by StampArt Design, available exclusively at Whimsy Stamps.  This adorable little elf, perched atop a lovely gift box caught my eye and was a pleasure to colour!  I used Pro-Markers to colour the image and cut a scalloped frame from red cardstock on my Silhouette.

The mats are from a Forever Friends Chirstmas paper stack; I chose them as they echoed the colours of the elf’s outfit!  Along with a red polka grosgrain ribbon, I added a lovely festive button (from the Santa’s Workshop range) which I couldn’t resist on a recent research (!) trip to a large craft store…  The sentiment was simply printed on kraft card and then cut on the Silhouette.

Thank you to Anna for letting me play along with her GDT!  Pop over to the C… Is For Challenge blog now and add your own button-filled creations!

Christmas Cards All Year Round – October Challenge

Yipppeee!!

I’ve had a great couple of days and just wanted to share…

Firstly, I was picked for a GDT spot over at Paula Holifield Crafts – the card that I entered for this challenge is here.  I was especially pleased as this was the first card shared on my blog!  Then, late last week I was contacted by Anna over at C is for Challenge, offering me the opportunity to join her team of GDT for three challenges in late October and November!!  Needless to say, I agreed before she changed her mind!!  This is the card I entered for Anna’s challenge.

Then, through the course of today, these 3 cards have been listed in the top 3s of the challenges I entered them into!!  2013-09-26 12.50.57 2013-09-16 07.49.46 2013-09-23 09.35.37

This is the first time ever that one of my little projects has been noteworthy enough to be placed by the Design Teams and I have to say that I am over the moon!  Thank you to all at Silhouette Challenges and Partytime Tuesdays!
