Let’s Go!

This week’s challenge at Sentimental Sundays is all about Vehicles!  We are sponsored by Doodle Pantry – they have some great value packages available; I especially like the pre-coloured images for those days when you just don’t have time to break out the pens!

My sample this week features the Mustang from the Classic Cars 2 collection.  I used the pre-coloured image, along with four of the digital papers included in the set.  As I have Designer Edition of the Silhouette software, I was able to drag the papers straight from the folder to fill my shapes – meaning  I had print and cut all my pieces within about five minutes!!

The wheel is not part of the set – this was made using a wheel cut file from the Silhouette store.  I added the sentiment to the wheel, then print and cut it.  The chrome was from a scrap of adhesive foil that was lurking in my stash!

I’ve based the card around the latest sketch challenge at Techno Stamper – I didn’t even have to take a moment to plan my card out! (How lazy was I??!!)

Things With Wings

This week’s new challenge over at Sentimental Sundays is “Things With Wings”.  My image for this week is Peacock Birdie by Doodle Pantry, who are sponsoring us this week.

We are away on holiday in the next few days, so spare time is running a bit short!  Can you imagine how delighted I was when I realised that Peacock Birdie is provided as a coloured image (with and without blue effect around the image), as well as a line drawing and there are co-ordinating papers, and several sentiments included in the file too!!  PHEW!  I managed to make this week’s DT card in just 25 minutes and that’s something that doesn’t happen very often, I can assure you!  In fact, I could probably have shaved a few minutes off my time if I hadn’t got distracted with my delicious Mowed Lawn Distress Inks!  With the exception of the Mowed Lawn mats, everything on my card is included in the download file, and in several different formats too.
