Anything Goes In The Crafty Girls Challenge

I can’t believe it’s Thursday already…  The weeks seem to be flying by at the minute!

Today’s post is for the new Crafty Girls Challenge.  This fortnight we’re sponsored by A Day For Daisies and Aurora Wings and the theme is “Anything Goes”, so a nice and easy one to join in with.

I chose “Babies Smile” from A Day For Daisies.  The image simply reminded me of the early days with my children; I remember feeling like I couldn’t look away, just in case I missed something!  Nowadays, if I look away, trouble usually follows 😉

I coloured the image with ProMarkers, keeping to a very simple palette, then popped the frame (from the Silhouette store) over the top.  The embossed background was created by embossing the Swiss Dots folder onto some linen marked card.  The striped paper is from a Docrafts paper stack.  Finally, two little white, flower shaped buttons with some pink and white twine tied through.

New Challenge At One Stitch At A Time

Hope you’re having a lovely Sunday!  I’ve just popped over to share my latest project for One Stitch At A Time, where the theme this week is simply “Use A Digi”.

This lovely owl digi was a pleasure to colour!  Once I had cut the image out using my Silhouette, I used papers from “It’s Easter” and “In The Woods” by Harper Finch.  The layout follows Sketch 21 at From The Heart Sketches.

Why not head over to One Stitch At A Time now and enter the challenge for your chance to win the complete set of images that the DT used in challenge #186 and there’s even a runner up prize of $3 to spend in the store!  Please remember to use a Stitchy Bear image to be entered into the main challenge…

I will be entering this card into the following challenges:

Crafting For All Seasons – Autumn Colours

Challenges 4 Everybody – Anything Goes

Glitter and Sparkle – Leaves

Sentimental Sundays – Falling Into Autumn

Good morning everyone!  I’m here bright and early today to share a birthday card I’ve just finished for a very bouncy soon-to-be three year old!  I’ve based the card on the Sketch 40 layout from From the Heart Stamps.

Russell is an image from Pollycraft (one of the bundle I snapped up before the shop closed!). He looks adorable playing in those leaves, doesn’t he?!  The papers are all by Harper Finch – sme from the It’s Easter solids set, others from In The Woods.  I love the bright, vibrant colours, and the chevron print reminded me of the long grass over at our local country park.

I’ll be entering Russell into the following challenges:

From The Heart Stamps

Crafty Sentiments – Anything Goes

Trimmies Craft Challenge – For The Boys

Through The Craft Room Door – Anything Goes

Partytime Tuesdays – Anything Goes

4KraftyGirlz – Anything Goes
