Wow! Where did that week go? Well, I suppose if I think back, it’s been a bit of a hectic one – there was Erin’s pre-school graduation (what’s that all about? She’s only 4…..!), then Jack’s Infant School Leaver’s Assembly, an end of term party, a birthday party and all the usual after school stuff like Beavers, dancing, grabbing a little shopping, decorating….you get the idea, I’m sure!
Anyway, I have managed to squeeze in a little time to get inky! I’m still trying to get all the thank you cards finished for school; today’s card is a hand-stamped card – my first in years! I bought some gorgeous coloured Memento inks a while back and hadn’t been brave enough to put ink to paper; my track record with actual stamps is not all that successful 🙂
I kept it simple – a pretty dahlia stamp from Hobbycraft, stamped along the edge of the Kraft card in Lilac Posie and Grape Jelly. I cut the sentiment from the centre of the panel using a template for the Silhouette and popped a piece of fuchsia cardstock behind, leaving the edges visible. Mounted on a white cardbase for a crisp finishing layer.
I’ll be back tomorrow with my regular Crafting From The Heart post, see you then!
