For today’s new challenge over at Crafting At The Weekend, I’ve made a footie themed box card. This particular card is destined to arrive on a Spurs fan’s doormat, but it would be very simple to adapt this to most football teams (I imagine anyway – not a big fan myself!).
I started out with the Lori Whitlock box card template which I found on the Silhouette Online Store – and that’s pretty much the last time I saw the template in its original form! I decided to make the card a little bigger, so increased the size by 10% so that it would still fit into the envelope. Then I adapted the internal pieces – removing numbers and stars and adding in a football, a Tottenham Hotspurs team logo and yellow and red cards! I simply added these to the panel from the template and welded them together….simple! I also added a panel to the reverse of the card, watermarked with scattered footballs, for a message to be written – better than trying to write on black card!
The yellow and red cards, the football and the papers are all from the K Aagard Sporty Soccer collection – I’ve used them over and over, they come in so handy for sports cards!
Anyway, enough about my project! Make sure you pop over to Crafting At The Weekend and look at what the rest of the DT have made for our second challenge!
